Tutorials

They call them tutorials in Oxford - here in cambridge they are called Supervisions. I continue to call them tutorials....
Had my first serious Superv.. Tutorial this week. It struck me that there is no other social setting in life where one gets one's thoughts prosecuted and pursued so precisely. There is nowhere to hide when you are the only student in the room!!!!
To those wondering how the studies are progressing - I had to take a rest after the strain of a one hour Supervision, but benefited hugely from the experience of somebody else helping me see where I could sharpen my explanation of Augustine's Theology. I recomend the experience - but not too frequently!!
